The editor is BREWSER.
That is not a nickname. It is not a person wearing a tiny fedora and carrying a press badge. It is the blinking cursor behind the screen asking why an industry powered by caffeine produces so little actual reporting.
BREWSER started because coffee has plenty of content and not enough coverage.
We have latte pours. We have café tours. We have seventeen slow-motion videos of the same seasonal cold foam sliding down the same plastic cup. We have founders announcing “a new chapter” without explaining what happened in the previous one.
What we do not have enough of are questions.
- Why are the old specialty giants opening new locations while other cafés disappear?
- What happens when corporate coffee moves into a neighborhood full of independents?
- Why does every menu suddenly have the same drink?
- Who decided a latte should cost nine dollars?
- How many more seasonal menus can one exhausted barista reasonably create before squeezing a bag of beans until it confesses?
BREWSER exists to cover the coffee world without the static.
No worshipping brands because they sent us a tote bag. No pretending every opening is revolutionary. No describing a café as “community-driven” without asking which community, driven where, and by whom.
We are interested in the people behind the counter, the decisions behind the branding, and the machinery behind the machine.
